A parallel universe song. You’re drawn to Mary at a party, but you become disillusioned and go home alone that night. From that point forward, two timelines exist. In the first timeline you’re regretfully sitting at home, while in the other you never left the party, you and Mary hit it off, and the rest of the dominoes fall in place. The neon horse imagery is drawn from the Charles Bukowski story “3 chickens”.
